Italy thruough my eyes … or, rather, iPhone

There’s this new social network that I am totally addicted to! It’s called Instagram, and it’s amazing!

It’s an application for the iPhone where you can take pictures directly with your phone, play around with different filters and effects to make them look all cool and artsy, and then upload them directly to your Instagram account.

Being that I currently live in Italy, I’ve been using this application to document my life here. From my bathroom, to the train ride home from work, to the graffiti on my street corner – everything looks more picturesque with Instagram.

My username for Instagram is @ratpix, or you can follow me on Twitter because I post all my Instagram photos there too. My Twitter name is @GarrettMcK, and you should have already been following me anyways! 😛

For those of you who aren’t into social networks or aren’t iPhone users, I’ve created a slideshow here below of some of my Instagram photos, this way you can have some insight into my version of life in Italy. Enjoy!

  1. i love the one of the outside of your apartment! It’lee 2012…I’m a comin back!
AND was that a Flash Mobb in the mall on the bulls nuts? what were they doing?

    • Hey B! Thanks a lot!

It was a flash mob, and they were in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, but they weren’t crushing the bull’s balls! 🙂 The picture came out cool, but their coordinated dancing wasn’t the best I’ve ever seen. I think I’ve seen you do better. Even when you were loaded!

  2. Pretty cool ! I really liked the one of the glass roof over the galleria (?). Now if I could only figure out how to download a live version of the pizza from your last post. I figure if the Jetsons were able to do that some forty years ago, it should be a cinch today.

    • Thanks! Yes, the photo of the glass dome is Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan.

Also, I think technology has come a long way since the days of the Jetsons… though I do seem to be missing my robotic maid…

  3. Hahaha this is my first time visiting your blog, and your header picture is hilarious! I read your comment on my eggplant parm and was really confused because it’s like 10 o’clock here. Now, I see that you’re in Italy so the lunch break thing makes much more sense! I’m very jealous by the way. I’ve always wanted to go to Italy!
